Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your email address when you request a flight score. We also collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, browser type, device information) to improve our service.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to deliver flight scores, send requested emails, improve our product, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Cookies and Analytics

We use PostHog, a first-party analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. PostHog may place a cookie to recognize repeat visitors and enable features like session replay. It does not share your data with third parties for advertising, and we do not sell your information.

Theme, distance unit, and similar preferences are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers.

Do Not Sell or Share

ScoreFlights does not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising, build advertising profiles, or share your data with ad networks. If you enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, we automatically honor that signal as your opt-out preference.

One thing worth stating plainly rather than leaving to the fine print: when you follow an affiliate link, the affiliate network on the other side sets its own cookie in order to credit the referral. We do not consider that targeted advertising, because it is used to attribute a booking rather than to profile you or select ads to show you, and it only happens if you choose to follow the link. But it is a third party receiving data about your visit, so we would rather name it here than let "no targeted advertising" imply that no third party is ever involved. The section below explains exactly who and what.

To exercise any privacy right, including opting out of data collection, email us at privacy@score.flights.

ScoreFlights is free to use and is funded by affiliate commissions. Some links on our flight result pages point to travel partners such as luggage storage, accommodation, and travel services, and we may earn a commission when you book with one of them. This never costs you anything extra, and it never influences a flight score. Scores are calculated from flight data alone, and no partner can pay to change one.

Affiliate links pass through our own redirect first, so we can count how often an offer is shown and clicked. We record the partner, the placement, and the flight context of the click (such as the destination airport and the flight's score). We do not attach your email address or any other personal identifier to that record, and we do not tell partners who you are. Once you follow the link, you are on the partner's own site, and their privacy policy and terms govern what happens next, including any data they collect.

Some partners are reached through an affiliate network rather than directly. When you follow one of those links, the network and the partner may each set their own cookies, pixels, or similar tracking technologies in your browser, and may collect and use data about your visit to credit the referral if you go on to book. That tracking belongs to them, not to us, and it is governed by their own privacy policies. The networks we use are Travelpayouts and Partnerize (Performance Horizon). Some partners, such as Bounce, we work with directly, with no network in between. Our current list is always on our subprocessors page.

You can block or delete these cookies through your browser at any time. Doing so does not change anything about the site, the scores, or what you can access. It only means a booking you make after following one of our links may not be credited to us.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for analytics, email delivery, and hosting. These providers have their own privacy policies governing data handling.
